Yeh well this is what happens when your sister takes your computer for about 3 hours more than she said she would. At any rate a change in pace for the whole emo band outlook and to look at a rather "old" artist who actually started me singing properly. Not sure how many of my readers remember Gavin Degraw other than his song I Don't Wanna Be but i seriously recommend you listen to him.

Degraw has a rather generic sound for the time with just the utilisation of piano's, drum's, guitar's etc etc. In the same manner the topics and lyrics are pretty much cliche, love, family watevs. But i don't know why but it always seems to get me going and i do love his tone colour. So for some recommendations of songs from his two albums i would actually advise against listening to I Don't Wanna Be. The song is too pop that it may even seem rather bland in the same way Miley Cyrus is bland...*puke*

Anyways instead for his first album Chariot i would recommend listening to Belief and Chariot both which display Gavin's piano ability which while admittedly is not difficult at least presents a different style to listen to. In his other album "Gavin Degraw" i don't really recommend listening to any of the songs mainly because i think the whole album is crap XD sorry to anyone who disagrees but its the truth. The only song which has an inkling of self respect is Anyway which i think is part of the Chariot album originally sooooo...

Anyways yes reminder again to all the people who shouted. Its great to agree with each other but if you could PLEASE recommend me new music to listen to because my 7000 odd songs isn't cutting it anymore...*twitch*
Shout out to Stella, yes i will be giving some love out to Alphabeat at some point. still deciding on what else.
Another post coming up today to make up for yesterday's miss :P ciao

ok well because i got my arse kicked off the comp for about 3 hours i wasn't able to blog at any normal time of day so i guess i might as well do it now, it's 12:30 and im still wide awake, should i be worried? yes i think so....

Sorta still going along with the theme to everything before i know a lot of people are genuinely surprised when they find out that I really do enjoy listening to punk/emo. So the 2nd band on the list of 7 musicians that i enjoy listening to is MCR, My Chemical Romance.

Yes readers, i am well aware that even the mention of the name MCR parallels the thoughts with emo's, wrist cutting and premature death...but even if some of the names of the song's and indeed the lyrics are a bit sus...(Kill All Your Friends O.O really?) that the music by itself are quite interesting to listen to as long as you do not really listen to the lyrics in the most sense then the quality of the song's increase exponentially.

For example I know most people are aware of Welcome to the Black Parade and Teenagers, both rather new songs from their albums which have indeed made it onto mainstream cinema and tv shows there are a couple of other songs which i recommend you listen to on the album, even just to appreciate Gerard Way's incredible vocal range. These songs include This Is How I Disappear which is a pretty punk rock tune but also the two songs I Dont Love You and Cancer, both very meaningful songs which i recommended anyone who wants to listen to them to pay attention to their lyrics.

Apart from these four, some other songs which i think showcase great ability and standards in terms of the genre in one of the older albums Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. I would actually in all seriousness recommend to listen to the whole album, each song is great to listen to as long as you aren't a lyrics person because some of the lyrics are quite dodgy in that sense.

So here's a bit more love for a band which i know many of my friends who might read this would not enjoy but hey maybe ill get more people listening to them. Shout out to Elena who got my hooked onto MCR :P. Also just a reminder to people who read, i really do enjoy comments about the music themselves and other bands/artists who i should listen to/blog about because i am always up for new music regardless of what it sounds like so please shout these out because otherwise it feels really lonely otherwise.

At any rate time to sleep before Spain vs Germany and next one will be a slightly different genre. Ciao

Sorry to the few people who actually read my blog that i seem to update rarely these days but in a way it's a good sign. I generally only blog when i'm down or bored so in that manner it looks like i haven't been either for a while eh? xD

anyways in a slight change of style I'm going to go back to what i probably should have done with the music theme to this blog which is to go over what i love the most, which is music and just trying to spread a little love for some bands people might not know.

Anyways for the next 7 days (i promise i will) i will blog about a singer or band who i really respect or enjoy listening to so one each day. I'm not even sure if i properly have 7 people to talk of...but hey. And also i will ask my readers for any music which i can listen to because it is always welcome.

So for today one of my old favourites, some people may not be aware but i really like emo bands, i'm not really a lyrics person more of the melody so the singing ability of many punk bands are incredible. And because of this i would like to introduce 30 Seconds to Mars and specifically Jared Leto who is the lead singer of the band.

Now i know this band is pretty mainstream, not much of what i listen to is that off the mainstream channel but in my opinion i don't think Jared Leto gets enough love so here's my sales pitch per se.

For those with good bandwidth who can just watch it on youtbube i'd recommend listening to The Kill and Attack. Both song's display the rather incredible range that Jared displays and are two of my favourite songs to listen to regardless of the time of day or mood. And i know from a lot people that they do not enjoy it when their band's branch out into different styles of their own music such as Linkin Park's recent Minutes To Midnight album or Muse's The Resistance. But anyone who is aspiring to be in this kind of band or even just interested in listening to a different style of punk Hurricane, off the album This Is War as well as Night of the Hunter diverge quite a bit from the original musical tone of the other albums.

Now because this is a sales pitch for more love towards Leto i am well aware some of my readers may hate emo, may not be interested and are wondering why in the world i'm writing about musicians or may understand every word that I am talking about but regardless just a head's up on some great bands.

Also just to some of my readers if you want to post up some comments on bands or singers that i should take a look at on the side shoutbox, (that's what it's for to shout at me about ideas) then i will definitely take a look at them and blog about them in my posts depending on when i get the message and how much time i get.

At any rate, hope some of you actually take a look at these bands who i talk about and in the future will be writing about band's such as Alphabeat and My Chemical Romance, as well as singers such as Gavin Degraw and Matt Wertz. But for today, cya :)
